CELEBRATE EARTH WITH AMADOR COUNTY FAIR
Electronic Recyclers joins center to make disposal of items easier than ever
WHO:
Amador County Fair teams up with Electronic Recyclers to host an electronic recycling event.
WHAT:
As a way to celebrate and preserve planet Earth, Amador County Fair is collecting old and damaged televisions,
plasma screens, computer monitors, laptops and LCD screens on Saturday, October 17. Electronic Recyclers, the
largest recycler of electronic waste in the state of California will collect all of the material and recycle it in an
environmentally safe manner.
It is illegal to simply throw an unwanted television or computer monitor in the trash in California. Electronic
items have toxic elements that are environmentally hazardous when they are dumped into landfills. By law, such
products must now be recycled properly and in ways that won’t harm the environment—Amador County Fair is
here to help!
WHEN:
Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
WHERE:
Amador County Fair, 18621 Sherwood St, Plymouth, CA 95669. Guests can enter the parking lot off
Empire Street.
WHY:
The electronic recycling event at Amador County Fair provides an opportunity for the business and residential
community to clean out old electronic waste taking up room in a garage or office. Properly disposing electronic
waste is a great way to celebrate Earth! Proceeds from the event go to the fairgrounds beautification.
HOW:
Bring your electronic waste to Amador County Fair, broken or unbroken. There is no limit on how many items
you can bring to recycle, and it is FREE of charge. Acceptable items include anything with a plug, but nothing
with Freon i.e. refrigerators, freezers, etc. No batteries of florescent light bulbs please!
