Silver Lake circa 1940

The inn or store at the northerly outlet of Silver Lake has had various names in its long history, Fagan’s and Caminetti’s among them. But circa 1930s the Kay family operated if not owned the store and resort, and it is still called that today. This view shows the old highway, bypassed now, and some outbuilding, the lake and lower Thunder Mountain.
