I hope our local towns are paying attention to what's happening in Elk Grove, with half-built homes, abandoned by their developers, liens being filed against the poor buyers who are unfortunate enough to still be in their newly purchased homes. I understand that the city of Vallejo was close to filing for bankruptcy with the police and fire protection services draining them of their funds. They say that building new homes doesn't solve the problem because homes cost the city in services more than they bring to the city coffers, a well known fact across the country, unless every house is a mansion.
