The Amador Regional Planning Committee is accepting letters of interest for appointment to the public member at-large position on the committee.

A preference will be given to those applicants who reside in the unincorporated areas of Amador County. The committee is a multi-jurisdictional committee consisting of elected officials from the cities of Jackson, Ione, Sutter Creek and the county of Amador. The committee provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, as well as the opportunity to address issues of local regional interest in a cooperative and mutually beneficial manner. Those interested in being considered for the appointment should submit a letter of interest by Jan. 1, 2009 to Chairman Tim Murphy, Amador Regional Planning Committee, 18 Main St., Sutter Creek, CA 95685.

Interviews will be held during the Jan. 7, 2009 Amador Regional Planning Committee meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Sutter Creek Community Building. Questions can be directed to Marta Kirkley at 267-5647.
