The areas have been identified by county supervisors as potential new-growth regions as part of the county's general plan update. Planning officials want to hear from the public on future land use and transportation. The first meeting takes place at 6 tonight in the Rosemont High School gym, 9594 Kiefer Blvd. It concerns the Jackson Highway area, about 22,000 acres along Jackson Highway from Watt Avenue to the Cosumnes River floodplain. The second occurs 7 p.m. Thursday at Cosumnes River Elementary School, 13580 Jackson Road. That meeting concerns the future of the Grant Line East area, about 8,000 acres east of Grant Line Road and north of the county landfill. Unique content, exceptional value. SUBSCRIBE NOW!
