A proposed system of roads and traffic improvements to serve future development in the El Dorado-Diamond Springs area will be discussed today during an El Dorado County Planning Commission workshop.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Building C hearing room, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville.
Applications have been filed or are contemplated for 19 projects that would affect traffic in the area bounded by Pleasant Valley Road-Highway 49 on the north, Fowler Lane on the east, Highway 49 on the west and Truscott Lane to Solstice Circle on the south.
They include commercial and industrial developments, as well as residential projects totaling about 1,950 units.
To deal with the cumulative effects of the projects, county planning and transportation staff members have developed a tentative traffic circulation plan.
The meeting agenda, staff report and maps showing proposed roads and bicycle routes are available online at www.co.el-dorado.ca.us/Planning/PC.html .
