   Michael Boitano, 57, of Jackson, has been appointed to the Amador County Fair Board of Directors (26th District Agricultural Association). He has served on the Board of Directors since 1996. Boitano has also served as the agricultural commissioner for Amador County since 1998 and previously was the agricultural and standards inspector for Amador County from 1990 to 1998. He was a sales representative for Procurement Systems from 1989 to 1990 and crew chief for Agrichem Industries from 1981 to 1989. Prior to that, Boitano served as livestock manager and groundskeeper for the 39th District Agricultural Association from 1980 to 1981. He currently serves as vice president of the Junior Livestock Committee for the Amador County Fair and is a member of the California Agricultural Commissioner and Sealer Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary. Boitano is a Republican.
