The following is a partial list of motions made and voted on by the Amador County Board of Supervisors during the month of March. The motion is presented first, followed by the vote each supervisor gave on the motion with the resulting action of the motion presented last.

A supervisor listed as ABSENT may have missed that meeting due to a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, illness, training or out of town meetings or conferences.

Motion to authorize county counsel to undertake necessary legal action to remove the manufactured home from county property located in the 1000 block of Kings Station Road, Ione.

Motion to conceptually support the Library Improvement Task Force (LIFT) in its effort to recruit and hire a grant writer, investigate funding options and research property or building sites for a new library. In addition, the motion includes appointing District 2 Supervisor Richard Forster and District 3 Supervisor Richard Vinson to serve as members of LIFT, with District 1 Supervisor Rich Escamilla as an alternate.

Motion to authorize prescribing the terms of sale of school bonds of $4.5 million, approving forms of and authorizing distribution of official notice of sale and intention to sell bonds, delegating to the Amador County Treasurer/Tax Collector authorization to award bid for said bonds and authorizing execution of necessary certificates.

Motion to tie board of supervisor salaries to those of Amador County judges starting July 1, 2005. The stipend for chairman would also be eliminated.

Motion to appoint Supervisor Forster and District 4 Supervisor Louis Boitano to serve on a standing committee to identify issues associated with growth and annexations and identify any action needed prior to actual annexation applications being submitted.
