Dams, water and other important issues
Foothill Conservancy representatives recently ventured out to participate in a number of regional planning meetings and make presentations, including:
  • Presentation at a dam removal workshop held by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
  • Presentation at the annual conference of the Sierra Nevada Alliance.
  • Participation in meetings of the Sierra Environmental Water Caucus, a new coalition working on regional water issues from hydroelectric project relicensing to the effects of climate change on the Sierra snowpack.
  • Participation in the State Capitol citizen lobby days to campaign for the Sierra Nevada Conservancy legislation.
