Land management issues for the Folsom Field Office will be on the agenda when the Bureau of Land Management's Central California Resource Advisory Council meets in El Dorado County Friday and Saturday.

On June 13, the advisory council will meet from 8 a.m. to noon at the El Dorado Hills Fire Department to discuss wildland interface issues due to development in the Sierra Nevada foothills, an update of statewide BLM issues and reports from BLM Central California managers. Following lunch, council members will tour Pine Hill Preserve.

On June 14, the council will meet from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the El Dorado Hills Fire Department. Council members will continue their discussion and take public comments from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Members of the public must provide their own transportation for the tour.

"As California's population increases, land managers must address numerous, and often conflicting, land uses," said Bill Haigh, BLM Folsom Field Office manager. "The advisory council provides a valuable forum for BLM and the public."
