As reported and notified by the Amador Water Agency there is a water outage as a result of damage to a high pressure water line on Church Street in Sutter Creek. The damage is isolated, detected and is currently being worked on but has resulted in low water pressure or no water pressure for areas in Sutter Creek and Amador City. More specifically the subdivisions of Sutter Crest, Crestview, areas north of Church Street in Sutter Creek and the town of Amador City.
The Amador Water Agency is actively working on the situation and has issued the following

The Amador Water Agency suggests that you boil your water or use bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes for the next 24 hours following the planned shutdown.
We have NO EVIDENCE of water contamination. Whenever there is a planned shutdown, California Department of Public Health in conjunction with the Amador County Environmental Health Department and the Amador Water Agency advises the use of boiled water or bottled water. The Agency will be taking Bacteriological samples. If you do not hear anything further from us after the 24 hour period, it is presumed that the water is safe.
