Local residents are planning a bus trip to Oakland to save the Mokelumne River from East Bay Municipal Utility District's plan to expand Pardee Reservoir.
The bus leaves from Jackson in the morning in time to reach Oakland for lunch and a rally. The bus isn't scheduled to return to Jackson until late afternoon or early evening, depending on the length of the meeting.
Sign up by calling Randy at 295-4900 or e-mailing randy@foothillconservancy.org. Riders are being asked for a $5 to $10 donation to help pay for the bus.
