CCWD General Manager Dave Andres presented the board with a letter, addressed to the general manager of East Bay Municipal Utility District, protesting the agency's position on Camanche Reservoir water rights. In February, EBMUD sent two letters to the county stating that seepage of water from the reservoir could not be used as a water source for a Wallace development, an action that raised red flags with CCWD's board members. “If we cave into EBMUD on this what does it do to our water rights in west Calaveras?” Director Phil McCartney asked.
