The Amador Water Agency seeks a new General Manager who is an experienced leader, familiar with California water and utility issues and skilled in administration, including financial reporting and personnel management.

The Amador Water Agency serves the residential and commercial water needs of the residents of Amador County, located in the beautiful gold country of California. The District is governed by a five member Board of Directors who appoint the General Manager, The District has 30 full time employees, The 1997-98 combined budget is $7.8 million.

The General Manager is responsible, for directing the activities of the District and carrying out policy set by the Board of Directors. The idea candidate will have extensive experience in a similar agency, utility district, or local government entity including significant leadership experience. Education equivalent to a bachelors degree in a related field is required. Emphasis on water resources, construction, business, engineering or public administration is preferred.

The salary for the position is negotiable aid will be dependent upon the qualifications of the successful candidate. The Amador Water Agency also offers an attractive benefit package
