We invite you to bring your school-aged children to play at our Friday Fun Days! Children enjoy free play, arts and crafts, games, story time, and a healthy snack. Fun Days are held every Friday (except Holidays) from 12:30pm to 2:30pm during the summer. When school is back in session, Friday Fun Days will be held from 2:15pm to 4:00pm. A $1.00 per child donation is very much appreciated and helps with program costs. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate in the fun activities! Thank You! U p c o u n t r y U p d a t e SUMMER is HERE! The front yard of the UCC has a brand new look! We would like to thank the Up Country Rotary, the Upcountry 88 Lions Club, and Sierra Yard Supply in Pioneer for generously donating the wood chips for our front yard. We truly appreciate all your support. Look for the new crosswalk coming soon in Pine Grove by the Town Hall and Pine Grove Park! We are delighted to have the crosswalk back as it will help families safely cross the highway between the park and library. Summer is here and there are numerous activities and events planned at the A- TCAA Upcountry Community Center during these delightful months! Our center is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 9:00am – 5:00pm. This has been an extremely beneficial experience for the children and their parents/caregivers. Being a part of the playgroups and spending time with the children has been a great experience for the UCC staff, so we thought that we would provide fun activities for 0-5 children and their parents during the summer months! We will be hosting our Summertime Fun program on Thursdays from 9:30am to 11:00am, starting on June 11th and ending when school is back in session (when The Resource Connection's playgroups resume). For more information, please contact us at 296-2785. We hope to see you there! It’s that time again! We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Backpack-2-School Project! This project is designed to help income eligible families provide necessary school supplies for their children. To participate in this program, just follow the following steps! 1) Fill out an application at the appropriate location by July 15th. 2) Starting July 27th, sponsors will have the opportunity to shop for a child's school necessities. They must return the backpacks to the appropriate center by August 12th. 3) Participating families can pick up their backpack and school supplies on August 17th and 18th. Note: To participate in the Backpack-2-School Project, your child must qualify to be on the school district’s free/reduced lunch menu plan.
