The city of Sutter Creek is seeking five city residents to serve on the city's Architectural Review Committee.

According to city code, the committee is to be comprised of five community members, appointed to three-year overlapping terms by the city council. The committee will meet irregularly as needed to review development proposals.

All interested city residents are encouraged to apply. While the committee's composition is not specified by ordinance, the city anticipates that at least one member will be an owner of a business located within the city and at least one member will be a resident who is not connected with a business within the city. At least two members will have experience in architecture, landscape architecture, historic preservation, urban design planning, engineering or related fields.

Priority may be given to those who have participated in the city's ongoing general plan visioning process.

Exceptions in the criteria listed above may be made by the city council in the event there are not enough qualifying applicants.

For more information on the committee, contact Assistant City Manager Sean Rabe at 267-5647. Letters of interest are due by 5 p.m. tomorrow at City Hall, 18 Main Street, Sutter Creek, 95685.
