The Ledger Dispatch printed a letter to the editor from Susan Bragstad on Tuesday that implied the Gold Rush Ranch Draft Environmental Impact Report was only available through purchase of hard copies for $60 ("The wrong foot"). Hard copies of the draft EIR are available for purchase for $60 at City Hall and the fee is intended to recover a portion of the actual cost of reproduction of the document. The city would like to remind Ledger Dispatch readers that the draft EIR is also available free of charge by downloading electronic files of the document from the city's Web site at www.ci.sutter-creek.ca.us. Electronic files are also available on CD at City Hall for a reproduction fee of $5. In addition, hard copies of the draft EIR can be viewed at City Hall or at the Sutter Creek branch of the Amador County Library during normal business hours. The city is making every reasonable effort to make the draft EIR available for review and welcomes public input on the draft EIR and on the project.
