I wonder how many people got to work at a job they enjoy and get paid to do it. This was my good fortune. I started working in food service in 1997 as a sub. In February 2000, I became the managing cook/baker and Amador High School, and was blessed to work with so many wonderful people. I want to thank Marilyn Craw, director of food service for Amador County, for the retirement luncheon she gave me. Thank you to all who attended. I was very moved. I also want to thank my co-workers at Amador High School for the surprise luncheon they gave me, and for everyone who came to wish me well. I so appreciated your cards and gifts and all the cookies. A special thank you to the children of Sutter Creek Elementary School and teachers for all their handmade retirement cards. And to the students in Mrs. Miramonte's class for their letters, which I will treasure. Heartfelt wishes for each of you.
