The most significant input regarding the Final EIR was presented by the Amador Citizens for Smart Growth, or ACSG. ACSG Chairwoman Kathy Allen commented that, although the City had several meetings with property owners over the course of twelve years in preparing the Land Use element, the focus of those meetings were on zoning changes, and that there was no discussion of General Plan goals or creation of policies. City Manager Mike Daly said he greatly appreciates the feedback and work of the ACSG. Present in the audience was Jackson city councilman Al Nunez. TSPN asked Nunez during a break in the meeting what he thought about the Final EIR, he said that he felt there were pros and cons to the report, but that it seemed good overall, and said he felt that members of the public were “nit picking”.
