Mark Twain - St. Joseph's Hospital Entrance

San Andreas, Ca -- Up to $25,000 will be given out to a local non-profit organization through Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital's 2008 Community Grant Program.

The funding is made available through its affiliation with Catholic Healthcare West. “It is a project that is funded by contributions by the 42 member hospitals,” says Larry Cornish, MTSJH Vice President of Facilities and Project Development. “We can realize our mission and enhance our advocacy and social justice through the program.”

Cornish says that last year's local recipient was the Take it to Heart Foundation, which is using the money to support a “Family Fit” project to battle childhood obesity.

Applicants must be a 501 © (3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal agent that is a 501 © (3) organization and capable of administering the funds. The deadline for submission of Letters of Intent is September 19, 2008. For more information click below.
