 - Cathy Koos Breazeal, Amador Fire Safe Council

The Amador Fire Safe Council would like to invite friends and supporters to play a little game of Monopoly, Amador County style. The Amador Community Foundation is hosting the second annual Amadoropoly game on Friday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the auditorium in Sutter Creek. Come on down and support your favorite charities. For your ticket purchase of $25, you get $100 in Amadoropoly money. Roll the dice and you are on your way to lending your support to many worthy groups in the county. This year, AFSC will be on Water Works, so expect to be entertained by The Drip and The Flame, while learning about our important fire prevention work.

Amador Fire Safe Council is totally funded by grants for our various brush and fuel reduction projects in the county. We do not have a grant to cover the lookout tower on Mt. Zion, so our donations from game night will go towards funding the tower for the coming fire season. Staffing the lookout tower runs about $38,000 a fire season, so we have a long way to go and need everyone's help. Call the AFSC office or Amador Community Foundation to purchase your ticket and we hope to see a great turnout!
