Police Cracking Down At Dangerous Intersections

STOCKTON (CBS13) ― Police are stepping up enforcement at the most dangerous Stockton intersections, hoping to cut down on the number of deadly accidents due to speeding and red light violations.

Ten intersections, all across Stockton, are the targets of the increased enforcement. Motor officers are staking out the roadways, focusing on where the most collisions have occurred in the past six months.

"It's not only to issue citations, but also to educate motorists on the driving habits that result in collisions," said Lt. Joe Roacha of the Stockton Police Department.

Officers handed out at least 75 citations on Saturday.
