Read more in our Privacy Policy Send E-mail| Print Oct 2, 2008 3:23 pm US/Pacific Pipe Bomb Found In Cameron Park Neighborhood CAMERON PARK (CBS13) ― This afternoon a pipe bomb was reported in the neighborhood of La Canada Drive in Cameron Park, according to police. The bomb was described as a typical pipe bomb with the detonating device in the center of the pipe between both capped ends, police say. The bomb was reported at 2:30 p.m. and at approximately 2:39 p.m. El Dorado Sheriff's Officers requested that La Canada Dr. be closed in both directions and that no traffic was to enter or leave the area. El Dorado authorities have also requested that all radio traffic to stop due to a threat of detonation. Authorities have removed two resident's from their homes due to safety measures.
