Roseville Police Department investigators continue to seek information related to an attempted kidnapping. A 29-year-old Roseville woman reported that at 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, she was attacked as she sat in her vehicle at the Renaissance Shopping Center, near the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and Sierra College Boulevard. The suspect entered her vehicle through a back door and grabbed her around the neck. The woman honked her horn and escaped through her driver's door. The suspect took the woman's purse and fled the scene in a maroon Dodge Durango.
The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a similar incident involving a male in a maroon Dodge Durango.
The victim described the man as a white male in his early 30s, 5'11" to 6'0" tall, approximately 220 pounds, with short blonde hair in a buzz cut, and a mustache and goatee. The attached images show a composite sketch of the male, based on the victim's description, and a similar-style Dodge Durango.
Anyone who may have seen the suspect or vehicle, or who has any other information about this incident is asked to call the Roseville Police Department at (916)774-5000 extension 1, or Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrest.
