Two men arrested on rape charges

STOCKTON - Two men were arrested early Wednesday evening for allegedly raping a 25-year-old Stockton woman.

Gerald Wayne Pell Jr., 35, of Stockton and Michael Ray McMillan, 46, of Mokelumne Hill gave the 25-year-old woman a ride home, according to a Stockton police report, and then allegedly raped her. The report was not clear on when or where the rape allegedly occurred.

An investigation eventually led police to arrest Pell and McMillan, who in the meantime had been arrested and were being held by another law enforcement agency for other alleged violations.

Pell was booked Wednesday evening on suspicion of rape, sodomy, oral copulation, rape with a foreign object and making terrorist threats, according to police and jail records. He also was booked on a $20,000 bail warrant issued after he pleaded no contest to inflicting corporal punishment on a spouse or cohabitant. He is being held in lieu of $385,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court today.

McMillan was booked early Thursday on suspicion of rape by foreign object, oral copulation and making terrorist threats. He was also booked on a no-bail state parole hold and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Both are being held in the County Jail.
