STOCKTON - A 21-year-old Stockton man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman and knocked her unconscious.

The 30-year-old woman, who is six months pregnant, had driven to Espiridion David Carrillo's home, and the two got into an argument over money, according to a Stockton police report. Carrillo pushed the woman to the ground and assaulted her, knocking her unconscious, according to the report.

Carrillo left, and the woman was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where she told police officers about Carrillo and about items he allegedly had taken from her car.

Officers at about 5:15 p.m. went to an address in the 1800 block of West Flora Street and arrested Carrillo on suspicion of assault, burglary, receiving stolen property, felony vandalism and other felonies, according to jail records. He also was arrested on a warrant issued in Amador County. He was held in lieu of $610,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court today.
