                  Deputies: Man's Face Knifed, Wallet Stolen
                  Suspect Faces Several Charges

                  SONORA, Calif. -- A 43-year-old man was arrested this week 
                  after stealing a man's wallet and wounding him in the face 
                  with a knife, the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office said.
                  Gary Hartman Jr. was found late Wednesday when deputies found 
                  his car leaving the Ponderosa Hills area.
                  The 54-year-old victim said he had been held at knifepoint 
                  earlier in the day in the 19000 block of Waif Mine Road, the 
                  office said.
                  Hartman faces charges of robbery, criminal threats, assault 
                  with a deadly weapon, vandalism and an out-of-county warrant.
