Investigators believe the two are responsible for an estimated 16 residential burglaries in the area based on their own admissions. Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dorsey was conducting a patrol of Chumash Circle in response to a recent rash of burglaries in the area. Dorsey noticed two youths walking there who matched the description of suspects in the recent burglaries. When Dorsey contacted the pair, he asked where they lived. Later, he contacted them again at their home, along with a parent. While interviewing both juveniles, they allegedly admitted to committing the area burglaries. According to the Sheriff's Department, the juveniles said they had looked for unoccupied homes in the Dorrington area that had unlocked doors or open windows. They would also search the exterior of homes for hidden keys, according to the report. “It appears at this time the juveniles were breaking into the houses looking for alcohol,” the media release said. “Deputy Dorsey also recovered stolen bottles of alcohol from the juveniles' home.” The juveniles are being held on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy and vandalism. They have been placed in the custody of the county Probation Department. Comments Comments are posted after review by the Web master. They represent the opinion of the commenting party.
